Things You Should Know in a Surf Vacation

Being a surfer means being drawn naturally to huge waves. You must have gone away for one but while you're riding your board and awaiting the next big one to come, you have been reliving that fantasy of taking that surf vacation to get to taste the world's most popular swells.

It's time you turn that dream surf vacation into reality.

Each great surfer needs to have that good surf vacation once every month. Out of town trips can be sometimes frustrating – what with all the packing and the preparations and the long list of things that you need to have while you are away. A lot of surfers may become water-logged when it comes to arranging a real surf vacation. Remember these directions so you won't forget anything and you may just swim off into the wide blue ocean. Also don't forget to double check the packing list before you start to take off.

First thing's first. Decide where you are going. Your destination will lead you to the things that you are going to need. If you are staying in a town, you might decide to book a room in a motel which means not brining a camping gear in tow. If you will be staying at an isolated part of the coast, you would have to camp or sleep on your vehicle.

Come up with a list of things to bring along before you depart. Obviously you can live as comfortable as you like, but it is proven by a lot of campers and travelers that taking simply the essentials and a few extra things is a great way to keep the stress low.

Bring along toothbrush, toothpaste and flip flops and enough change of clothes that will keep you warm, dry and feeling clean even while you are far away from home. Shoes are that significant if it is raining or if it gets cold or during hikes but even with the cheapest sandals around it would be useless if you are always running to check the waves or going off to the restaurant or to the bathroom or simply living that sock free life.

Bring with you some food essentials, including nuts, raisins, bananas, oranges, peanut butter and honey, bread, tuna, water.
If camping is part of the plan, bring along a tent and a sleeping bag. If you have a travel sleep pad, then bring it along. This would tell you the difference between eight hours' and three hours' sleep.

Most important of all for every surf vacation even if quick, you should bring your board, leash, wax, wetsuit, booties if it is too cold, gloves for the freezing temperature, sun screen, a towel and board shorts. It is also great to bring with you a spare leash.
