3 Quirky Ideas To Improve Your Next Brochure
Your prospects are being bombarded by flyers and brochures on a daily basis. Why should they make the time to read yours when it looks just like everyone else's? So how can you differentiate your company and persuade people to read your brochure? Consider the following left-of-center ideas:
Quirky Brochure Idea #1: Make it a Magazine
People love magazines. Especially when they're filled with all sorts of useful and entertaining information. So why not make your next brochure into a mini magazine?
As well as all the usual information you would include, you can add some articles. What do you write about? How about articles that demonstrate how your company's products help solve your prospect's problems.
A magazine-style brochure builds the bridge of trust and interest between you and your prospects. From your perspective, prospects are turning to your expertise and seeing your company name over and over again - at their convenience. Which means they're giving you their full attention.
Quirky Brochure Idea #2: Make it a Keeper
If you put useful, evergreen information in your brochure, you transform it into a "keeper" i.e. something that people will keep, refer to often and possibly pass on to other people.
If you're selling surfboards and equipment you could include a local tide chart. If you're a housepainter you can provide advice on color schemes or the best paint to use. If you're selling skincare products you can give advice on how to get rid of acne, dry skin and wrinkles. Other keeper ideas include calendars, posters, puzzles and playing cards.
Quirky Brochure Idea #3: Make it an Interesting Shape
Who says your brochure has to be a rectangle. Using your imagination when designing your brochure can produce excellent results. Unusual brochure shapes catch the eye and demand attention. For example, a cafe could print their takeaway menu in the shape of a sandwich. Tall and slim multi-panel brochures, over-sized business cards, mini-brochures printed on bookmarks... the options are endless.
